Independence Movement President and MP Michel Moawad tweeted: “The government should immediately go back to the rehabilitative investment plan agreed to by the previous government regarding the quarries linked to the soil factories in Chekka and Al-Hiri that repair the environmental damage that had been there. It should also allow Al-Sabaa and Holcim to continue working in order to prevent a social catastrophe and preserve what remains of the economy instead of displacing thousands of families in the most critical of circumstances.
