The head of the “Independence Movement” MP Michel Moawad tweeted: “What happened on the evening of Sunday to Monday on peaceful demonstrators in Fouad Chehab Bridge as well as the smashing of cars and theft of shops in downtown Beirut requires immediate action by the security services to arrest the known actors and prevent slippage in the unknown.
He also emphasized on the need to rush to the political solution by forming a mini-government of specialists that will begin the rescue process.
