The President of the Independence Movement, MP Moawad tweeted about the new reform paper: “The financial and economic ministries should be managed by experienced & transparent experts enjoying the trust of the Lebanese citizens and the international community, to implement the required reforms to build a modern country.” He added: “therefore, to avoid the chaos, it is necessary to constitute a new reduced government.” MP Moawad said: “The new reform paper is very necessary, even if it came out under the street’s pressure. However, the basic problem is the lost trust in this government and its ability to implement the paper’s articles.”
