A youth delegation of the Independence Movement laid flowers over the grave of assassinated Journalist Samir Kassir in Beirut where they were received by Journalist Giselle Khoury, head of the Samir Kassir Founation .
Former Social Affairs Minister Nayla Moawad who headed the delegation praised Samir Kassir’s values and political vision.
“Despite the local and regional circumstances, he stood firm and maintained his positions in the face of all threats,” she said.
Moawad added that March 14 figures paid for Lebanon’s freedom and sovereignty in blood.
Khoury recalled the special bond between Kassir and Moawad and their joint struggle to defend Lebanon’s independence.
