Independence Movement leader Michel Moawad called for the treatment of drug addicts as patients rather than criminals, voicing his support for a memo issued by the Health Ministry in this regard.
"Drug addicts are patients who shouldn't be treated as criminals. I fully support the righteous new memo issued by the Health Ministry and lobbied for by Skoun, the Lebanese Addictions Center," Moawad tweeted.
