Independence Movement President and resigned MP Michel Moawad tweeted: “The visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to Ali Al-Sistani, following a meeting with the Imam of Al-Azhar, is a message of peace, dialogue, brotherhood and coexistence. It also confirms that inter-religious dialogue is held with Arab religious authorities that are keen on the well-being of their people and states and do not allow foreign interests to undermine and fragment them.”
