Independence Movement President and resigned MP Michel Moawad tweeted: “Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Muhammad Jalal Firuznia’s refusal to meet the foreign minister constitutes a blatant assault on Lebanese sovereignty and its constitutional institutions. Immediate measures must be taken in order to avoid the recurrence of such insubordination, which constitutes a dangerous precedent for the diplomatic relations between countries.
