The head of the "independence movement", MP Michel Moawad, tweeted saying: "I call the leaders of the Shiite duo, to abide by the minimum rules of the Charter and coexistence and to curb their audience, which has continued to attack the Maronite Patriarch, Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi."
He added: "Because the attempt to harm the Patriarch of Bkerke through this type of programmed campaign leads Lebanon to unimaginable consequences."
