The head of the "Independence Movement", MP Michel Moawad, tweeted saying: "I stress on the necessity of restructuring the upcoming financial dues, because Lebanon has no capacity to pay the debts as they are from the Lebanese deposits, unless it is within the framework of a comprehensive rescue plan and negotiations, transparent with the creditors. Because failure to pay without these necessary negotiations will expose Lebanon and the Lebanese people to countless risks and accelerate the overall downfall.”
