The president of the Independence Movement Michel Moawad tweeted on his personal Twitter account:
“Shadi Al Hajj is a new martyr for the Interior Security Forces in their fight against drug traffic and car stealing gangs. The State’s security forces alone protect the Lebanese citizens."
