As part of the #وين_الخاطفين campaign (where are the kidnappers?) created by a number of social media activists, the president of the Independence Movement, Michel Moawad, tweeted on his personal Twitter account:
"The government should act with an iron fist against these organized kidnapping crimes. What is required is to enforce the law, bring the perpetrators and their protectors to justice, and break the kidnapping networks.”
He concluded his tweet with the campaign’s hashtag: #وين_الخاطفين (where are the kidnappers?)
