The Publications Court has ruled in favor of Independence Movement leader Michel Moawad in a defamation case against Al-Akhbar newspaper, its responsible director Ibrahim Al Amine and writer Ghassan Soud.
The court fined Soud and Al Amine each 3 million L.L. and ordered the parent company of Al Akhbar newspaper to pay Moawad a symbolic compensation of 1,000 L.L.
