Independence Movement leader Michel Moawad and Kataeb leader Samir Gemayel agreed on Wednesday to work toward the election of a president.
During a meeting at Moawad’s residence in Baabda, both leaders agreed that the election of a president represents a priority and paves the way for the revival of state institutions.
They also stressed that Lebanon should endorse a disassociation policy vis-à-vis the Syrian crisis.
The meeting brought together Kataeb party official Elias Hankash and the party’s representative in Zgharta Michel Douaihy along with Independence Movement official Youssef Moawad.
